Speed the Light is "the wind beneath our wings". We can minister to more people, teach more workers, and save more souls with our transport speeding us on our way. And you are the ones who "put wheels to our prayers". In addition to the above, we also need to make Bible students experience "hands-on" ministry. On a typical "tour of ministry" we’ll pack five to seven teams into a van. Each is dropped off at a village or city where they join a local church in evangelism. After one or two days of talking about their faith, they return “charged up” like the 70 sent out by Jesus.

The systems we have requested will be used in evangelism to unreached people groups. This is a difficult area to reach and visit due to the opposition to Christianity, however, this past April I was there for a ministry trip and had over 1000 people in the crusade. Our work in Southern Africa would be impossible without STL. I'm the Director of Southern Africa Media Ministries and we use STL equipment and vehicles all the time. Literally every piece of equipment in our Media Production studio has been provided by STL. Every time we hit the "on" button on a piece of equipment, we're using STL provided equipment. At Lighthouse Children's Shelter, our HIV/AIDS children's crisis center, we use a specially provided STL vehicle. STL thought our outreach to HIV/AIDS Orphans was important enough to provide a vehicle for our children's transportation needs. We truly thank God and the A/G for STL. One of the primary purposes of our work at South African School of Theology is to train and equip young men and women who are called by God with practical ministry experiences. We take them out into the townships, villages and squatter camps to minister the good news of Jesus to those that are lost and who have not heard. We're requesting the PA system, School Package, Van and Portable Generator so that we can properly equip these young men and women with the ministry experience they need to be the best they can be for the sake of the Kingdom

Pastor Doug and the Penn-Del Youth have been a tremendous blessing to the Mayeski family for the past 7 years while on the field in Trinidad. We have received STL funds for a personal 4x4 vehicle which we used HARD all across the island. Some of the back roads are very poor to say the least and we could not have gone where we needed to without the use of the STL vehicle. It served us well for two terms. Also we have had the “double blessing” of having Penn-Del STL provide a 15 passenger van for our Teen Challenge center here in Trinidad. The van is put to hard use everyday bring the guys to and from classes and vo-tech studies, conducting drug awareness programs in schools, and ministering in churches and community centers. The program would be hindering considerably without the use of the STL van.
In addition, Pastor Doug has helped us with audio-sound equipment, speakers, mics, amps, etc. for our outreach and street evangelism programs in the islands. The equipment is still in use in Trinidad and Tobago helping declare the “Good News” to the islanders of T&T. Thanks Penn-Del Youth for partnering with the Mayeski’s to reach the lost through the ministry tools of “Speed-the-Light”. You guys are awesome! Bless You.

Greetings from Colombia! STL is like having another missionary working with you. We used the video projector to do two "boot camps" to train pastors how to plant new churches (over 60 pastors), this afternoon a church is using it to show a film to their ladies group. The soundboard is in use in the city of Bucaramanga, Santander where they are using it to produce radio programs. Thank you again for providing the fine equipment for us. God bless you!

STL is an important ministry of the Assemblies of God because missionaries do not have to worry about the issues concerning vehicles. Most people do not understand the pressures of living over seas. Most days just getting out of bed becomes a cross cultural experience. If we had to be concerned about our vehicle it would add stress. It is always a treat to watch as we explain to the nationals that our vehicle was purchased by the hard work and fund raising efforts of the youth in the Penn-Del district and in fact we tell them it actually belongs to the teenagers of the Penn-Del District.
Of course up to this point I have only talked about the vehicle aspect of STL. The average STL vehicle does save the average missionary time in the states as well as stress on the field. Blessings to you.

We have been approved by STL to purchase a motorcycle and boat. Both of these are greatly necessary for a unique project with which we're involved in the Amazon Basin. We are working together with the Presbyter of that region to establish a Bible School and to plant churches. Some of the villages can be reached by land and that's where the motorcycle will be a great blessing. Other villages are along the Beni River and can only be reached by boat. STL partners with missionaries to provide needed tools in order to win people for Christ, disciple them, and show compassion. STL helps us to be better stewards of our time.

STL is one of the facets of the AGWM that sets us apart from any other missionary organization. The ability to have the funds available to purchase vehicles and equipment to assist us in our mission is an incredible blessing. STL enables us to be active on the field by eliminating months, if not, years in the states raising funds to purchase the items STL provides for us. Thank you STL! STL makes us effective in ministry by giving us the ability to travel through the country sharing in churches and various evangelistic endeavors. We often have the opportunity to share with our national brothers about the efforts of our PennDel youth in providing things through STL. This encourages them and broadens their understanding of the importance of youth ministry in Hungary. |
